SUMMARY OF CRASH: On September 22, 2026, at approximately 0743 hours, Troopers assigned to the Williston Barracks responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on I-89 South near Exit 14E in the City of South Burlington.

Investigation into the collision determined that the operator of vehicle #1, Kang An (34) of Colchester, VT, swerved to avoid another vehicle that was stopped/slowed in traffic. Vehicle #1 was then rear ended by vehicle #2, operated by Corey Wrigley (41) of Winooski, VT. This collision resulted in moderate damage to the front and rear ends of the respective vehicles. Following the collision, vehicle #2 became engulfed in flames.

No injuries were reported in this collision.

As a result of the collision and subsequent fire, the southbound lanes were closed briefly while the South Burlington Fire Department worked to extinguish the fire. One lane remained closed for approximately one hour until crews were able to remove the involved vehicles from the roadway.

The Vermont State Polie was assisted in this incident by the Chittenden County Sheriff's Department, Vermont Highway Patrol, South Burlington Fire Department, and Anytime Towing.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On the above date and time Troopers with the Vermont State Police responded to the intersection of Boston Post Road and Nichols Road in the Town of Enosburg for the report of a two-car crash. Enosburg Fire and EMS responded also responded to the scene.

 

Troopers identified the operators and determined that John Carr was stopped at a stop sign on Nichols Road and proceeded into the intersection with Boston Post Road while Carol Willey was traveling North on Boston Post Road. Operators were unable to stop prior to the vehicles colliding.

 

Both parties were evaluated by EMS personnel and both vehicles were towed from the scene. The roadway was briefly shut down during the investigation and removal of vehicles.

The southbound lanes have been completely re-opened to traffic.

While speaking with Wierzbicki, Troopers detected indicators of impairment. Wierzbicki was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and brought to the Berlin Barracks for processing. Wierzbicki was issued a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on October 8, 2026, at 08:30 hours.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On the above date and time, Vermont State Police responded to a two car crash at the US Route 7 and Ladd Road intersection in the Town of Pownal. Investigation revealed that vehicle #1 (Berman) was turning left to travel south on US Route 7 from Ladd Road when she did not yield to vehicle #2 (Davey) who was travelling north on US Route 7. Vehicle #2 subsequently struck vehicle #1 causing totaling damage to both vehicles. Both operators suffered apparent minor injuries.

 

Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by Pownal Rescue Squad, Pownal Fire Department, and All Service Towing.
