While speaking with Fitzpatrick, indicators of impairment were observed. Fitzpatrick was subsequently placed into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to the St. Albans State Police Barracks for processing. 

 

Fitzpatrick was later released and issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court for the above offense.

On the above date and time, Troopers were notified of a motorcycle crash on Route 5A in the town of West Burke, VT. Through investigation it was determined that Anthony Gibson (22) was traveling south on 5A and was unable to maintain his lane of travel, crossed the center line and collided with vehicle 2 being operated by Gilbert Trenholme (70).

Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by Sutton Fire Department, West Burke Fire Department, Orleans Rescue and Trusted Towing.

Upon arrival it was learned that the sole occupant of the vehicle, 23-year-old Jaden Churchill, had been operating at the time of the crash. He was transported via ambulance in response to the non-life-threatening injuries he sustained during the crash. At the conclusion of the crash investigation, Churchill was issued a citation to appear before the Franklin County Superior Court – Criminal Division for the charges of DUI Refusal and Negligent Operation.

On 05/15/26, at approximately 1847 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – St. Johnsbury Barracks became aware of an individual in Vermont with multiple active, extraditable arrest warrants out of Grafton and Merrimack County, New Hampshire.

Investigation revealed Nicholas Rideout (32) was wanted in New Hampshire for multiple felony offenses related to failing to appear for theft of rental property valued at more than $1500 and two assaults with deadly weapons. The warrants were issued after Rideout failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing. Rideout was already being held at Northeast Correctional Complex. He was lodged on an additional $25,000 bail and issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court to answer the charge of Fugitive from Justice.

Troopers observed a vehicle traveling in excess of the speed limit, with RADAR confirming the vehicle’s speed at 114 mph. The vehicle was stopped without incident, and the operator was identified as Krishna Kantamneni (24) of Harrison, New Jersey. Kantamneni was issued a criminal citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court – Criminal Division on July 21, 2026, at 8:30 am to answer to the above charges. Kantamneni was also issued a ticket for the speed, a violation of Title 23 VSA 1004 with a waiver amount of $724.

RADAR was activated and confirmed the speed at 93 miles per hour. A motor vehicle stop was conducted, and the operator was identified by his Vermont license as Devin Gebo (29) of St. Albans, VT.

 

While speaking with Gebo, Troopers detected multiple indicators of impairment. After a roadside investigation, Gebo was arrested for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence-Drug and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.

 

Gebo was issued a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court to answer the charge of DUI - Drug.

On the above date and time, State Police responded to a report of a single vehicle crash into a pole on Spaulding Rd, near Parks Rd, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.  The investigation revealed that Newhook was traveling north on Spaulding Rd when he swerved to avoid colliding with a bear.  As a result, the vehicle collided with a telephone pole.  There were no injuries reported.  Green Mountain Power was contacted to repair the damaged pole.  Newhook was found to be operating on a criminally suspended license and issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on 06/29/26.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

For the week of Wednesday, May 6, 2026 through Tuesday May 12, 2026, the troopers of A Troop cited the following individuals on suspicion of driving with a criminally suspended license:

 

Trooper Luke Rodzel

Case - 26A4004886

Offender - Lisa Coburn, 59 of W. Fairlee, VT.

Location - VT Route 113 / Interstate 91 interchange in Fairlee on 05/08/2026 at 10:32.

Vehicle - 2006 Buick LaCrosse

Court date - Orange County July 8, 2026, at 0830 hours.

 

Trooper Jesse Nash

Case # 26A5002484

Offender: Leonard Oak, 77, of Derby Line, VT.

Location:  On Main Street, Derby on 05/10/2026 at approximately 10:39.

Court Date – Orleans County June 23,2026, at 0830 hours.
