On 12/04/2024 at approximately 1830 hours, Troopers from Vermont State Police – Derby Barracks received a call of a single motor vehicle crash on West Glover Rd, near the crossroad of Butler Dr in the Town of Irasburg. Investigation revealed Duffy Willey (16) of Glover was traveling north on West Glover Rd when he failed to negotiate a right-hand turn and crashed into a riverbed. Orleans EMS, Irasburg Fire Department and Wrights Towing assisted with the crash. Willey sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was not transported by EMS.

On the above date and time Troopers with the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks responded to Woodward Rd near Buck Hollow Road in the Town of Fairfax for the report of a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Troopers observed a 2016 Toyota RAV4 at a position of rest on its roof. The operator was identified as Amanda Sidwell who was transported to the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans for suspected minor injuries.

 

Road conditions including ice and snow accumulation were contributing factors in this crash. Troopers were assisted by Fairfax Rescue, Fairfax Fire and Stone's Towing.

On the above date and time Troopers with the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash with injury in the area of Stonehouse Rd. in Enosburg, VT. Upon arrival, Troopers observed a red F-350 at a position of rest after colliding with a telephone pole. Airbags were deployed and the vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage. The operator was transported from the scene by the Enosburgh Ambulance Service to the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, then to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington where the operator succumbed to their injuries.

 

The operator's name is being withheld pending next of kin notifications.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 12/03/2024 at approximately 1726 hours, a Trooper with the Vermont State Police located a motor vehicle that had crashed into the guardrail on I-91 in the town of Dummerston.  After speaking with the operator identified as James Clark (44) of Chichester NH, indicators of impairment were detected. The operator failed to obey commands from law enforcement and became assaultive and disorderly. During a search of Clark’s person, a pair of brass knuckles were located. After transportation to the Westminster Barracks, Clark continued to be assaultive with law enforcement. No one sustained any injuries from this incident. Clark was released on a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on February 18th, 2024, at 0830 hours to answer the above charges.

On the above date and time, the Vermont State Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on VT Rt 25 in Topsham. It was reported that the vehicle struck and killed two horses that were still in the roadway.  Upon arriving on scene it was discovered that the operator of the vehicle fled the scene on foot.  Before Troopers left the scene, a third horse died from injuries sustained from the crash.  The operator was located the following day at an address on George St in Orange, VT. The operator was identified as Hayden Hatch of Orange, VT.  He was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court - Criminal Division.

Investigation revealed that the accused, Sharon Britch repeatedly rammed the victim's vehicle with her vehicle while operating with a suspended license and assaulted the victim, causing pain to a domestic partner.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On December 3, 2024, at approximately 1313 hours, VSP Dispatch received a report of a single vehicle crash on Brook Rd in Corinth. Troopers arrived in the area and determined that Alyvia Durrett (22) was travelling north on Brook Rd when she failed to navigate a corner, resulting in her 2023 Kia Forte exiting the east side of the road. The Kia rolled onto its roof due to a steep embankment and came to rest in a brook, oriented correctly. Durrett was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment. VSP was assisted by members of the Corinth Fire Department and Upper Valley Ambulance.

Brook Road has re-opened.  Details on the crash will be provided when available.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On December 3rd, 2024, at approximately 0105 hours, Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Toof Road and VT Route 104 in the town of Fairfax. Troopers responded to the scene and located a 2011 Toyota Tundra in a nearby field with significant damage to the front-end of the vehicle.

 

Preliminary investigation established that the operator of the 2011 Toyota Tundra was Philip Desposito (45) of Jeffersonville, VT.  No injuries were sustained from the crash and the operator was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash.

 

The Vermont State Police was assisted at the scene of the crash by Fairfax Fire, Fairfax Rescue and Notch Road Auto Repair.
