SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On June 30, 2025 at approximately 1719 hours, Vermont State Police responded to the intersection of VT Route 15 and Browns Trace Road in the town of Jericho for a reported two vehicle crash.  Preliminary investigation indicated Vehicle 2 was traveling east on VT Route 15 traveling past Browns Trace Road.  Vehicle 1 had been traveling west on VT Route 15 when it began turning left onto Browns Trace Road and was struck by Vehicle 2.  Based on evidence on scene and statements from operators and witnesses, Vehicle 1 had failed to yield to the right of way of Vehicle 2 as it was traveling east on VT Route 15. 

 

No injuries were reported from all parties involved.  Both vehicle were drivable from the scene.  Vermont State Police were assisted by members of the Underhill Jericho First Response, Richmond Rescue and Underhill Jericho Fire Department.

The operator reportedly went off the road, resulting in damage to a street sign, and then left the area. Following an investigation, the operator was located and identified as Jhojan Poma. Poma was cited to appear in the Windham County Criminal Division to answer to the above charge.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On June 30, 2025 at approximately 1342 hours, Vermont State Police responded to the area of Interstate 89 North at mile marker 104.2 in the town of Milton for a reported vehicle fire.  Troopers along with Milton Fire Department arrived on scene and observed a 2009 Subaru Forester on the shoulder of the roadway fully engulfed in flames for unknown reasons.  The operator was identified as Travis Reynells (51) of Colchester.  Reynells was able to exit the vehicle without any reported injury. 

 

Further investigation revealed Reynells was operating the vehicle with a Criminally Suspended License.  Reynells was subsequently issued a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on August 7, 2025 at 0830 to answer to the charge of Operating with a Criminally Suspended License.

 

One lane of the interstate was shut down for approximately one hour.  The vehicle was removed by TDI Towing.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 6/30/25 at approximately 09:41 hours, Vermont State Police responded to a reported four (4) vehicle motor vehicle crash on Vermont Route 15 in the Town of Cambridge.  Further investigation revealed that all four vehicles involved were traveling east on Vermont Route 15, approaching the roundabout.  A vehicle which was not involved in the crash was making a left turn into a private business.  Vehicle 2 was directly behind the vehicle attempting to make the left turn followed by vehicles 3 and 4. All three vehicles were able to come to a complete stop prior to the crash occurring.  Vehicle 1, which was the last vehicle in line, was not able to slow down in time and collided with the rear end of Vehicle 4.  From the impact, the front end of vehicle 4 struck the rear end of vehicle 3, which subsequently caused the front end of vehicle 3 to collide with vehicle 2. The operator of vehicle 3 was subsequently transported to the UVM Medical Center for suspected minor injuries.  The Vermont State Police were assisted by members of the Cambridge Fire Department and members of Cambridge Rescue.

Manchester Police Department along with Northshire Rescue Squad arrived on scene followed by Vermont State Police. It was discovered that Brijraj was in operation of the motor vehicle when he rolled-over his car with two juvenile occupants inside. Brijraj was seen on scene displaying signs of impairment and had to be brought to SVMC for medical treatment. Brijraj was issued a citation to appear before the Vermont Superior Court – Bennington Division on September 08, 2025, at 0830 hours to answer for the charges of DUI drug, and 2x reckless endangerment.

On the attached date and time, Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury responded to a report of criminal threatening on Lynburke Road in Lyndon Vermont. While responding, Troopers were advised of a physical altercation that had taken place. After investigation, probable cause was found that Tristan Barrett had committed the offenses of Simple Assault, Aggravated Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Threatening (X3). When Troopers attempted to take Barrett into custody, he actively resisted arrest. SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On June 29, 2025 at approximately 1852 hours, Vermont State Police, Fairfax Rescue and Westford Fire Department were dispatched to the area of Plains Road and Audry Lane in Westford for an ATV crash with injury.  Preliminary investigation indicated Reggie Spiller (49) of Westford was operating a 2017 Polaris RZR on Plains Road and lost control while attempting to turn into a driveway.  The ATV overturned in the roadway and the passenger, Justin Gokey (47) of Westford was injured resulting in being transported to the UVM Medical Center for treatment of apparent non-life threatening injuries.  Neither occupants were wearing seat belts or helmets at the time of the crash. 

 

While speaking with Spiller, Troopers detected indicators of impairment.  Spiller was subsequently arrested for the suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.  At the conclusion of processing, Spiller was released with a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on July 17, 2025 at 0830 to answer to the charge of DUI #1.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On June 29, 2025, at approximately 1810 hours, Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a two-vehicle crash on Railroad St in Newbury. Troopers arrived and determined Samuel Mattson was travelling west on Railroad St while driving a 2009 Harley Davidson FXDL. Mattson failed to navigate a corner and crossed the center line, entering the eastward lane of travel. Cole King was travelling east in his 2019 Chevrolet Silverado when Mattson entered his lane, resulting in a collision.

 

Troopers were assisted by members of Woodsville Ambulance and Wells River Fire Department. This crash remains under investigation and criminal charges are expected, pending the conclusion of the investigation.

On June 29, 2025 at approximately 1818 hours, a Trooper assigned to the Williston Barracks observed a passenger truck traveling west on VT Route 15, east of Whitefield Drive at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle’s speed was recorded to be 92 mph in the posted 50 mph zone.  A traffic stop was conducted and the operator was identified as Seth Russin (28) of Cambridge.  Russin was subsequently issued a citation to appear at the Lamoille County Superior Court on August 13, 2025 at 1230 hours to answer to the charge of Excessive Speed.

 

Russin was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for the offense of Title 23, Section 1081(b) – Basic Rule, which held a $627 wavier and 2 points.
