Lanouette participated in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) and was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Rutland barracks for processing. SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

The Vermont State Police Derby Barracks is investigating an incident in which a single handgun-caliber bullet struck an occupied private residence on Reed Road in the Town of Coventry at approximately 2000 hours on 4/2/25.  No injuries occurred as a result.

 

Troopers were assisted at the scene by VT Fish and Wildlife Game Wardens, and evidence collected indicates the round was fired from a location south of the residence and several hundred yards away, which may include the area of VT-105.  This incident is not believed to be targeted, there is no indication of a threat to the public.

 

Members of the public having information about this incident, or who may have witnessed gunfire in the area of VT-105/Reed Rd in Coventry around the above time, are asked to contact the VSP Derby Barracks at (802) 334-8881.  Anonymous tips may also be left at vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit or by texting the keyword VTIPS to 274637 (CRIMES).

Anderson was arrested and transported to the State Police barracks in Westminster. He was processed and cited for the charges of DUI and Disorderly Conduct. He was later released to a sober adult.

Further investigation revealed that Omand had committed that offense in the presence of a child and had placed a suspected tracker in the victim's vehicle. Omand was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 04/03/2025 at 1230 hours to answer to the above charges. Omand was violated by Probation and parole and held at Southern State Correctional Facility with no bail in lieu of his probation violation.

Vermont State Police are investigating a vandalism that occurred at the Sheldon Elementary School located at 78 Poor Farm Rd. in Sheldon. Troopers received a report of this on April 2, 2025, and responded to the school. The vandalism consisted of a swastika drawn / carved into an exterior metal door of the building. This event is currently open and under investigation.

The Vermont State Police will inform the Attorney General's Office of this case as a possible hate crime under the Bias Incident Reporting System.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the operator of the vehicle was identified as Todd M. Carbonaro. Carbonaro was subsequently issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on 05/19/2025 at 0830 hours for excessive speed. Carbonaro was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for the speed violation.

On the above date and time, Troopers of the Berlin Barracks conducted a routine traffic stop. The operator was identified as Adam Lloyd-Campbell. While speaking with Troopers, Lloyd-Campbell displayed signs of impairment. Lloyd-Campbell was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and was transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing. Lloyd-Campbell  was issued a citation to answer to the above charge.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 04/01/25 at approximately 1613 hours Troopers from the Vermont State Police were dispatched to a single vehicle roll over on I91 NB near MM 125. Upon arrival, the operator was identified as William Smith. Investigation revealed Smith left the roadway and the vehicle went airborne prior to rolling. Smith had described minor injuries and his passenger, Templeman, was transported for non-life threatening injuries. The State Police was assisted on scene by St. Johnsbury FD and Calex Ambulance.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On April 1, 2025 at approximately 0936 hours a Trooper with the Vermont State Police was conducting speed enforcement on Route 15 in the town of Underhill. A vehicle was observed travelling West on Route 15 passing multiple vehicles with blind corners ahead, at a speed well in excess of the posted 50 miles per hour. RADAR confirmed the speed at 92 miles per hour. A motor vehicle stop was conducted, and the operator was identified by his VT license as Garret Brigati (24) of Hyde Park, VT.

 

Brigati was issued a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer the charge of Negligent Operation & Excessive Speed. Brigati was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for Title 23 VSA Section 1081(b), which carries a penalty of 2 points and a waiver amount of $627.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 02/27/2025, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks responded to a residence in Shrewsbury, VT for a report of a domestic assault. Their investigation led to the discovery of a sexual assault allegation, made by the same victim against Joseph Marro (63) of Shrewsbury, VT. Detective Troopers from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Troop B West investigated the sexual assault allegation, and subsequently charged Marro. Marro was flash cited in Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility to be arraigned on 04/01/2025 at 12:30 PM.
