SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On July 22, 2025, at approximately 2129 hours, the Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop after an observed motor vehicle violation on Little Chicago Road near the intersection with US Route 7 in the Town of Ferrisburgh. The operator was identified as Trevor W. Hallock (22) of Ferrisburgh, Vermont. Through investigation, Troopers discovered Hallock was operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and was previously convicted of the same offense.

 

While speaking to Hallock, Troopers observed indicators of impairment. Hallock was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence and license required. Hallock was transported to the New Haven State Police Barracks for processing. At the conclusion of processing, Hallock was released with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on September 15, 2025, at 1230 hours.

 

Troopers were assisted by members of the Vergennes Police Department.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On the above date and time, the Vermont State Police responded to the report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Travis Adams (44) had an active warrant for DUI #2 Drug out of Lamoille County. Upon attempting to take Adams into custody, he threw a pill bottle into the tall grass nearby, attempting to destroy evidence. In the process of throwing the pill bottle, hit a Trooper hit the head with his hand. The pill bottle was located shortly after and was found to contain Fentanyl. Adams was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing.

Adams was later brought to Northern State Correctional Facility due to a lack of $1,000 bail for the new charges and $200 on the active arrest warrant.

Troopers learned that while a Toyota Tundra was parked at the back lot (western parking area) between 0540 hours and 1645 hours, an unknown person(s) stole three chainsaws, a fishing pole, and a tackle bag out of the bed of the truck. The items were valued at more than one thousand dollars.

Investigation revealed that on June 18, 2025, Wilkins disseminated a lewd photograph to an individual via text message. On July 22, 2025, Wilkins turned himself in at the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks and was issued a citation to appear before the Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, at a later date.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On June 15, 2025, at 1347 hours, Vermont State Police, North Hero Fire Department, and Grand Isle Rescue responded to a reported head-on collision with injuries. Investigation revealed that vehicle 1 was traveling southbound on US Route 2 near Savage Point Road. Vehicle 1 then crossed the center line, entered the northbound lane of US Route 2, and struck vehicles 2 and 3, who were traveling northbound. Operator 2 died from his injuries on scene. Operator 3 was transported to UVMMC for serious but stable injuries. Operator 1, identified as Ellen Willson (38) of St. Albans, was arrested and brought back to the St. Albans Barracks for processing. Once processing was completed, Willson was issued a citation for the offenses of Gross Negligent Operator with Death Resulting and Gross Negligent Operation – Serious Bodily Injury. Willson is scheduled to appear in Grand Isle County Court on August 7, 2025, at 0900 to answer to the above charges. The vehicle's speed was recorded to be 113 mph in the posted 65 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the operator was identified as Pascal Verneus (27) of Everett, MA. Verneus was subsequently arrested and transported to the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing. At the conclusion of processing, Verneus was released with a citation to appear at the Caledonia County Superior Court on 09/08/25 at 0830 hours to answer to the charge of Excessive Speed.
Verneus was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for the offense of 31 Or More MPH Over Speed Limit, a violation of 23 VSA 1004  – , which held a $710 waiver and 2 points.
