Investigation revealed that Colby Bevins ( 29) threatened Wyatt Fallon (19) while displaying a firearm, placing Fallon in fear for his life. Bevins was subsequently located and taken into custody.

 

He was transported to the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks for processing. Bevins was issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on April 28, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., and was released with conditions.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Wendy Doane (65) of Wells River violated the conditions of an active Abuse Prevention Order by engaging in prohibited contact with the protected party.

Doane was later located and issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court.

Subsequent investigation revealed Engert had hired Todd Volitis (DOB: 50), of Waterbury, VT, to do work on a residence and between April 22-23, 2026, Volitis acted in a manner that was unwanted and threatening towards Engert via electronic means.

 

Volitis was located and issued a citation to appear in the Washington County Superior Court on June 04, 2026, at 0830 hours, to answer to the above charges.

On April 27, 2026, at approximately 10:00am, a vehicle in the McDonald’s drive through caught fire in the Town of Randolph, VT. The operator was able to exit the vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames. Due to the proximity of the vehicle, a small portion of the building caught fire, causing customers and employees to evacuate the restaurant.   Numerous fire departments responded and quickly extinguished the fire. There were no reported injuries. McDonald’s will be closed until further notice.

While patrolling, Troopers observed a motor vehicle infraction and conducted a traffic stop. Subsequent investigation revealed that Barrup, the operator of the vehicle had displayed signs of impairment. Barrup was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported without incident to the Vermont State Police – Derby Barracks for processing. Barrup was later released with a criminal citation to appear in Orleans County Court.

Investigation revealed Charles Kendall (57) had assaulted multiple household residents, violated conditions of release and had an active arrest warrant. Trooper's later located Charles and he was placed under arrest for the above charges. Charles was later lodged without bail and set to appear in Franklin County Court on 04/27/2026.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 04/26/2026, at approximately 9:49 AM, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks responded to a single vehicle crash on Vermont (VT) Route (RTE) 100, in the Town of Weston, Windsor County, Vermont. The vehicle/operator involved in the crash fled heading north on VT RTE 100. The complainant  advised the vehicle involved was an SUV, with heavy front-end damage and side airbag deployment. The vehicle should be dark blue in color. The operator of this vehicle damaged the guardrail.
