On October 31st, 2026, at 1145 hours, Troopers from the Westminster State Police Barracks responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash at 1086 VT Route 30, in the town of Newfane, county of Windham, Vermont. After speaking with the operator, Karlie Sanborn (25) of Newfane, Vermont, Troopers detected signs of impairment. Sanborn was cited to appear at the Vermont Superior Court - Windham Criminal Division on December 29th, 2026, at 0830 hours to answer to the charge of Driving Under the Influence.
