SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On February 1, 2026, at approximately 0041 hours, Troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks observed a vehicle committing multiple traffic violations. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was identified as Leah Paulson (26). Miss Paulson was ultimately arrested for suspicion of DUI and was transported to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing. Miss Paulson was issued a citation and released. She is ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on February 23, 2026, at 0830 hours to answer the charge.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 02/01/2026 at 0110 hours, the Vermont State Police received a call about a vehicle off the roadway on I 91 N near Mile Marker 174. Troopers and officers from the Newport Police Department responded to the scene and located the vehicle.  Troopers identified the operator as Alex Mackay. Mackay displayed indicators of impairment and subsequent investigations led Troopers to place Mackay under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Mackay was transported to the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks for processing and was later released with a citation to appear in the Orleans County Superior Court on 02/17/2026 at 0830 hours.

On January 31st, 2026, at approximately 2233 hours, while conducting patrol on US Route 2 in the Town of Alburg, a traffic stop was initiated for an observed motor vehicle violation that occurred on US Route 2 near West Shore Road. During the investigation, the passenger of the vehicle had left the area of the stop. Later, the passenger was identified as Adam Tatro (35) of St. Albans. Tatro was found to have active court ordered conditions of release for 24-hour curfew. Tatro was taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing. Tatro was ultimately lodged on $2500.00 bail at Northwest State Correctional Facility in the Town of St. Albans and issued a citation ordering Tatro to appear in Grand Isle County Superior Court on 02/02/2026 at 1300 hours.

She was processed at the Berlin Barracks and later released with a citation to appear in the Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division on February 19, 2026, at 0830 hours.
