SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On November 3rd, 2026, Detectives from the Vermont State
Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI), along with the Vermont
Department of Children and Families (DCF) were notified of an incident of child
abuse. Investigation revealed that Ian E. Dressler, age 33, of Arlington,
VT, caused serious bodily injury to a juvenile family member. He was
charged with 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault and Aggravated Cruelty to a
Child.
On November 4th, 2026, Dressler turned himself in to the
Vermont State Police - Shaftsbury Barracks for processing. Dressler was
remanded to the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility in Rutland, VT, to
be held without bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Vermont Superior Court -
Bennington Criminal Division on November 5th, 2026, at 12:30 hours.
