SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On October 4th, 2026, at approximately 2120 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Williston and New Haven barracks responded to the report of a vehicle that had gone off the road. It was determined the vehicle had left the scene prior to the arrival of first responders. Troopers located the vehicle on VT Rt 17 near Forest Dr and initiated a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation.

 

The operator was identified as Kelby Redmon, 22, of Ticonderoga, NY. While speaking with Redmon, Troopers identified indicators of impairment. Redmon was screened and subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI. He was transported to the Middlebury Police Department for processing and ultimately released with a citation to appear in the Addison County Superior Court on November 2nd, 2026, at 1230 hours, to answer to the charge of DUI.
