SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 10/29/2026 the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks received a call advising that a suspicious vehicle was driving in circles in the Aubuchon Hardware parking lot in Royalton VT. Troopers from the VSP Royalton Barracks responded to the scene. During the course of the investigation, Troopers observed indicators of impairment from the operator, later identified as Shawn Hickok (39) of Morrisville VT. It was also discovered that Hickok provided false information to law enforcement and was criminally suspended. Hickok was placed under arrest and transported to the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks for processing after being medically cleared at Gifford medical center. Hickok was issued a criminal citation to appear in court at the below date, time, and location to answer to the charges of Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Criminal DLS, and False Reports to Law Enforcement Authorities.
