SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On October 10th, 2026, at approximately 0033 hours, the Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop after an observed motor vehicle violation on Lewis Creek Drive near the intersection with US Route 7 in the Town of Ferrisburgh. The operator was identified as Nicholas L. Bushell (34) of Ferrisburgh, Vermont. Throughout the course of the investigation, Troopers discovered Bushell had operated a motor vehicle in a negligent manner and located cocaine on his person.
Bushell was released from the scene with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on December 7th, 2026, at 1230 hours.
On October 19th, 2026, Troopers executed a search warrant on Bushell’s vehicle, where they discovered additional cocaine that had been in Bushell’s possession.
Troopers were assisted by members of the Middlebury Police Department.
