SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On the above date and approximate time, a VSP Derby Trooper observed a vehicle with two unresponsive occupants at the Mobile gas station in the Town of Derby.  The occupants were contacted and identified as Guertin and Blake.  Both became responsive upon police contact.

 

During the investigation, indicators of drug use were observed in the vehicle, and it was learned Guertin was the subject of a 24-hour curfew at a residence in Newport Center.  Blake was learned to be the subject of in-state warrants for the offenses of Retail Theft, DUI Drug, and Operating with a License Suspended for DUI.

 

Blake was placed under arrest pursuant to his arrest warrants and transported to the Northern State Correctional Facility for lack of $200 bail.  A search of the vehicle yielded a substance believed to be cocaine.  Guertin was issued a citation to appear in court to answer to the offense of Cocaine Possession and Violating a Condition of Release (Curfew).
