SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 1827 hours, Troopers from the Rutland State Police Barracks came into contact with William Gower-Johnson, 59,  of Rutland, VT. 

 

While interacting with Gower-Johnson signs of impairment were observed. Gower-Johnson was subsequently arrested and transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.

 

Gower-Johnson was processed and cited to appear in the Vermont Superior Court - Rutland Criminal Division on September 21, 2026, at 1000 hours to answer to the charge of Driving Under the Influence.
