SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: The Vermont State Police BCI were
notified of an incident that occurred at the MVCC on 5-21-26. It was
reported that 2 Correctional Officers (named above) were assaulted by 2
incarcerated inmates (named above). Review of reports written by several
correctional officers, and review of body camera footage of the incident aided
in determining that the above inmates provoked a cell extraction after covering
their cell window and refusing to comply with extensive attempts to deescalate
by correctional officers. During the cell extraction, both inmates
assaulted the 2 correctional officers named above, with minor resulting
injuries.
