SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On the above date and time, Troopers responded to a report of a tractor trailer stuck in "the notch" on Rt 108S in the town of Cambridge. Investigation revealed the operator, Musa Boima, 36, of Maryland, was traveling from Waterbury to Enosburg when he chose to disregard several signs stating tractor trailers were prohibited, and decided to drive around chicanes that were installed at the entrance to the notch road. Boima claimed he saw a sign telling him he could drive through. As a result, the notch was closed for approximately three hours while Polar Bear Towing and Recovery assisted with getting the tractor trailer out. Boima was issued a civil traffic ticket for a violation of Title 23 VSA 1038 "driving on lanes for traffic" and per Vermont law, the company Boima works for was issued a ticket for Title 23 VSA 1006(b) "tractor trailer in the notch" which carries a fine of $2,347.00. The State Police were also assisted by an Investigator with the Department of Motor vehicles, Stowe Police, and VTRANS officials.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 05/18/25 at approximately 2224 hours Troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks were dispatched to the report of a domestic assault in the Town of Topsham, Vermont. Investigation revealed that Jamie Howe (37) had assaulted an ex-partner causing serious bodily injury and had committed the offenses of 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault. Troopers of the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks were immediately notified that Howe was believed to be headed towards an address in Royalton. Troopers were able to locate Howe, and he was subsequently taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that Howe also committed the offenses of Unlawful Trespass, Burglary, and Unlawful Mischief. Howe was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex and he was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court - Criminal Division on 5/19/25 at 1230 hours.

Investigation revealed that on May 10, 2025, Calderwood committed the offenses of 2 counts of Lewd and Lascivious with a Child. On 05/19/2025, Calderwood was taking into custody with out incident and processed at the VSP State Police Derby Barracks. At the conclusion of processing Calderwood was transported to Northeast Correctional Complex and lodged for lack of $10,000 bail.

Through the continued investigation, Troopers learned that the operator that had initially been arrested, later identified as Lael Stoodley, age 52, of Mendon, provided a false name during the investigation and had passed herself off as her sister. As a result, with assistance from the Vermont State Police - Rutland Barracks, Stoodley was located and issued a criminal citation for DUI - Drug, Driving with a Criminally Suspended License, and False Reports to Law Enforcement Authorities, to appear in the Vermont Superior Court (Windsor) - Criminal Division on July 22, 2025, at 0830 hours.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 05-18-25 at approximately 0950 hours. Shaftsbury Fire Dept. and VT State Police responded to a motor vehicle fire on RT 7 in Shaftsbury at mile 21. The operator, Bradley Bisignani 32, of Bondville VT. was uninjured. Bisignani reported mechanical issues and also heard a loud noise, when he pulled over to investigate, he observed the fire. The truck was a Dodge 1500 and it was a total loss.

 

The truck was towed away by Paul’s Towing. Traffic was delayed for approximately 1 hour in this area.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On the above date and time Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were notified of a vehicle parked in the roadway on Ridge Road with its lights turned on in the Town of Kirby, VT. Troopers arrived on scene and spoke with the operator who was identified as Kathryn Mulhern (45) of West Roxbury, MA. Troopers observed indicators of impairment while speaking with Mulhern. Mulhern was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Saint Johnsbury Barracks for processing. Mulhern was later issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court - Criminal Division and released.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

State Troopers along with personnel from Georgia Fire and AmCare Ambulance responded to this single vehicle crash on Georgia Shore Road in Georgia. Vehicle #1 was traveling SB on Georgia Shore Rd when it crossed the oncoming lane and exited the east side of the road, colliding with and breaking in half a GMP utility pole. The operator and lone occupant of vehicle #1 was extricated from her vehicle and transported to the hospital by ambulance. It was later learned that operator #1 suffered minor injuries. There were traffic delays in the area following the crash while crews worked to clear the scene and replace the utility pole.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 1500 hours, Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a reported two vehicle crash on Center St, at the intersection of Back Center Rd, in Lyndon. Troopers determined Vehicle 1, a 2022 Subaru Outback, was trying to make a left turn from Back Center Rd onto Center St. Vehicle 2, a 2013 Ford Edge, was travelling south on Center St through the intersection with Back Center Rd when the collision occurred. Vehicle 1 failed to yield the right of way to Vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 was towed from the scene and Vehicle 1 was driven from the scene. Troopers were assisted by the Lyndonville Fire Department and Lyndon Rescue Inc.
