SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On the above date and time, the
Vermont State Police were conducting traffic enforcement on US Route 5 in
Derby, VT. Troopers from the Derby barracks observed a vehicle with defective
equipment and a traffic stop was conducted. The operator was identified as Troy
Guertin (54). Troopers observed indicators of impairment and Guertin was placed
under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Guertin was transported to the Derby
barracks for processing and later released on a citation to appear in court.
