The Vermont State Police is investigating the death of a man whose body was found on Camels Hump in Duxbury on Wednesday morning, Oct. 28, 2026. The investigation began at about 11:35 a.m. when two hikers called police to report locating a man’s body about 1.5 miles up the Forest City Trail from the parking area in Huntington. Multiple agencies responded to the scene. First responders hiked to the location and found the body of a man, later identified as Jason April, 50, of Denver, Colorado.
