SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 10/25/2026 at approximately 2010 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle traveling South Bound on I 89 in the Town of St. Albans. With the assistance of the Swanton Police Department, one of the passengers of the vehicle was able to be identified as Jesse Sweet (31) of Swanton, VT. Sweet was known by Troopers to have an active warrant for his arrest from the United States Marshall Service. Sweet was taken into custody and later transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility.
