On July 31, 2025, at approximately 0033 hours, the Vermont State Police conducted a check on a disabled vehicle located at the intersection of Lewis Creek Drive and US Route 7 in the Town of Ferrisburgh. The operator was identified as Jenna L. Petro (30) of Crown Point, New York. During the stop, Troopers located cocaine that was in Petro’s possession.

 

While speaking to Petro, Troopers observed indicators of impairment. Petro was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI – Drug and transported to the Middlebury Police Department for processing. At the conclusion of processing, Petro was released to a sober adult with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on October 6, 2025, at 1230 hours.

 

Troopers were assisted by members of the Middlebury Police Department.

Investigation revealed V#1, a TT Unit without a trailer, was traveling west when it left the westbound lane and struck a telephone pole. V#1 came to an upright position of uncontrolled rest. No injuries resulted. Troopers were assisted on scene by the Addison Fire Department and Middlebury Regional EMS, and DMV enforcement ultimately took over the investigation.

On 7/28/25 at approximately 0744 hours, Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Cove Road near VT-116S in the Town of Bristol. The operators of both vehicles fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement. Investigation revealed the operator of V#1 was Dylan Lussier (24) of Bristol, VT. Lussier had a criminally suspended driver's license and was required to have an ignition interlock device installed in his vehicle, which he did not. Lussier was located on 7/31/25 and issued a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

On the above date and time, Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury responded to a report of a automobile crash in the Town of Sheffield, Vermont. Troopers arrived on scene with FD and EMS and located and identified the operator of vehicle #1 as Corey Raymond (57) of Sheffield, Vermont. Raymond had driven his vehicle over an embankment before proceeding to drive through an open field before coming to a stop. While speaking with Raymond, signs of impairment were observed. Further investigation revealed Raymond was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Raymond’s injuries were unknown at the time and he was transported by ambulance to NVRH for medical attention. Raymond was released on a citation to appear at the Caledonia County Superior Court on 09/29/2025 at 0830 hours.

The subsequent investigation identified the suspect as Helen Lindsey (28). Lindsey is alleged to have fraudulently posed as an employer by submitting falsified documentation, including a forged signature, a fake email address, and a fraudulent phone number, in an attempt to secure mortgage approval.

Lindsey was was issued a citation and accepted on behalf of her legal representation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court on September 11, 2025, at 8:30 AM to answer to the charges of Identity Theft and False Pretenses.

On July 31, 2025, at approximately 0258 hours, Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash involving a Subaru Legacy off the road on Sampsonville Rd near Boston Post Rd. The operator was traveling East on Sampsonville Rd when she swerved over the center line, into the opposite lane of travel, and left the roadway. The vehicle ultimately came to a position of uncontrolled rest after hitting a guardrail. The vehicle was removed from the scene and the operator and passenger were both assessed for injuries. The operator was given a citation to appear in the Franklin County Superior Court on September 22nd, 2025, at 0830 hours.

On July 30, 2025, at approximately 2050 hours, a Trooper from the Westminster Barracks was notified of a vandalism incident at the Wardsboro Country Store Sunoco located on Main Street in the town of Wardsboro, VT.  Surveillance video showed a male hitting a gas pump screen, causing damage. The vehicle involved was a white Volkswagen Jetta station wagon with a kayak roof rack on the driver’s side, occupied by a male and a female. The vehicle had a Vermont registration (Unknown registration number) with a “Vermont Strong” front plate. The vehicle was at the Country Store between approximately 2045 hours and 2055 hours.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 7/30/25 at 0931, the Vermont State Police received several 911 calls regarding a fight occurring at the Kneeland Flats Trailer Park in Waterbury. Dispatch advised of two males fighting one of which has possible minor injuries.

Troopers arrived on scene and identified the two parties involved as Tegan Ross of Waterbury and Christopher Woodard of Duxbury. After further investigation it was determined Ross assaulted Woodard who sustained minor injuries to his face. Ross was taken into custody for Simple Assault and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing. Ross was later seen in Washington County Superior Court. Woodard was cited for the crime of Disorderly Conduct. Woodard is to appear in Washington County Superior Court on 8/14/25 at 0830.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 07/30/2025 at approximately 12:55 hours, Troopers of the VSP Royalton Barracks received a walk-in at the Barracks who advised that he was accompanied by an individual that was waiting at the location above. Troopers identified said individual as Leclair and confirmed that he had an active in-state warrant. Leclair was arrested without incident and issued a criminal citation for the respective court, location, and time below, then released.
