On the above mentioned date and time, the Vermont State Police received a BOL for an erratic driver who was believed to be impaired.  Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on I 89 in Montpelier.  Upon further investigation, the operator, Cupaiuolo, was suspected of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and taken into custody.  Cupaiuolo was subsequently transported to Central Vermont Medical Center for a blood draw and cited for the charges.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On June 13, 2025, at approximately 1903 hours, members of the Vermont State Police were dispatched to a reported two-car motor vehicle crash in the area of Tyler Branch Road and Duffy Hill Road in the Town of Enosburgh. A preliminary investigation has revealed that Vehicle 2, driven by Cody Paradee (32), was traveling north on Duffy Hill Road. Vehicle 2 then collided with Vehicle 1, which was traveling west on Tyler Branch Road and was being operated by a juvenile.

 

Paradee sustained serious injuries and was flown to the University of Vermont Medical Center. The investigation into this matter is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.

Riendeau stated the incident happened between 05/19 late evening and 5/21. Lagasse was known by Troopers to have an active warrant for his arrest. His arrest warrant was for the initial charge of:

Lagasse was taken into custody for the warrant and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility in the town of St. Albans where he was held on $200 bail for the warrant. SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
 
On 6/12/25 at approximately 1128 hours, Troopers responded to a report of an individual believed to be impaired at the Otter Creek Academy in the Town of Leicester. Investigation revealed Joshua Thorpe (41) of Whiting, VT drove his vehicle to the school. While speaking with Thorpe, Troopers detected indicators of drug impairment. Thorpe was screened, placed under arrest and transported to the Vergennes Police Department for a drug influence evaluation. At the conclusion of the evaluation, Thorpe was transported to Porter Medical Center, where he consented to provide an evidentiary blood sample.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On June 6, 2025,  at approximately 0914 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks were advised of a reported retail theft at the Dollar General in the town of Randolph, Orange County, Vermont. Investigation determined that Jason Lamson (32) committed the offense of retail theft by stealing a cell phone from the store. Lamson was located and issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Orange Criminal Division to answer to the charge of retail theft at a later date and time.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On June 11th, 2025, at approximately 1832 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – St. Albans Barracks were conducting patrol on Main Street in the town of Richford when a male standing on the sidewalk was identified as Anthony Tracy (44) of Richford, VT.

 

Tracy was known by Troopers to have an active warrant for his arrest. His arrest warrant was for the initial charge of:

 

13 VSA 2501 Felony 1 GRAND LARCENY >$900

 

While Troopers attempted to take Tracy into custody for the arrest warrant, Tracy resisted arrest. Ultimately, Tracy was taken into custody and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility in the town of St. Albans where he was held on $1,000 bail for the warrant. Tracy was additionally issued a flash citation ordering him to appear before the Franklin County Criminal Court on June 12th, 2025, at 1300 hours for the charge related to the warrant.

 

To note, Tracy was also issued a citation ordering him to appear before the Franklin County Criminal Court on July 15th, 2025, at 0830 hours for the charge of resisting arrest.
