SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On October 9th, 2024, at approximately 1706 hours Vermont State Police in Rutland responded to a motor vehicle crash between a box truck and a parked vehicle on Church Street in the Town of West Rutland. Troopers identified the operator as James Rutherford. During the investigation Troopers observed Rutherford to display several indicators of impairment. Rutherford was ultimately taken into custody for driving under the influence. Rutherford was issued a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court - Criminal Division.
