SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On May 17th, 2026, at approximately 1727 hours,
the Vermont State Police was notified of a single vehicle crash on Church St in
the Town of Richford, Vermont, and the involved vehicle had left the scene.
Through investigation, Troopers identified Charles Williams (57), of Richford,
Vermont, as the vehicle's operator. While interacting with Williams, Troopers
detected signs of impairment. Williams was subsequently arrested on suspicion
of DUI and LSA. Williams is scheduled to appear before Franklin County Court on
May 18th, 2026, at 1300 hours.
