SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 11/30/2025, at approximately 1647 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police - Westminster Barracks were responding to multiple vehicles that had slid off the roadway between Exits 6 - 8 on Interstate 91. While checking the area, a Trooper came across a vehicle that had slid into the ditch. Troopers made contact with the operator, Heather M. Longe, 43, of Bellows Falls, Vermont, and observed indicators of impairment. Following roadside investigation, Longe was taken into custody for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. Longe was transported to Bellows Falls Police Department for processing and was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court - Windsor County, Criminal Division on 12/23/2025 at 0830 hours to answer to the charge of DUI. The vehicle did not sustain damage upon sliding off the roadway.

While speaking with the operator of the vehicle, Thomas Kenneally (35) of Cambridge, MA, the Trooper detected signs of impairment. Investigation revealed that Kenneally had operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Kenneally was arrested and subsequently transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. Kenneally was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division on 01/27/2026, at 0830 hours to answer to the charge of DUI Drugs.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On November 29, 2025, the Vermont State Police received information regarding a motor vehicle incident that occurred along VT Route 7A in the Town of Shaftsbury. Reports received were that a tractor-trailer unit, had attempted to maneuver a U-turn on the front lawn of a property, resulting in damage to a propane tank located underground. The propane tank began leaking because of the damage.

 

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks responded to the scene along with local fire and emergency personnel. Troopers and all first responders secured the area and worked to contain the leak. No injuries were reported.

Troopers located the operator and she was identified as, Melanie Considine (age 65), of Randolph, VT. Troopers observed signs of impairment, and found Considine to have operated a motor vehicle while impaired. Considine was placed under arrest, transported to the Vermont State Police - Royalton Barracks, and released with a criminal citation for the charges. Troopers were assisted by the Randolph Police Department during this investigation.

An investigation into the crash revealed that the operator was Hunter Stratton (24). Stratton had caused damage to a homeowner's property. Stratton was located later on and issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Bennington Criminal Division on 01/26/26 at 0830 hours to answer to the charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On the above date and time Troopers with the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks responded to a single vehicle crash into a guardrail on Interstate 89 North near mile marker 120.2. The vehicle was partially hung up on the guard rail, causing damage to both the vehicle and the guardrail.

 

Upon arrival, the operator was identified as a juvenile and was evaluated by EMS as a precaution. The vehicle was removed from the roadway, and the operator was given a ride by a family member. This crash is suspected to be caused by inattention, but the investigation is ongoing.

 

The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the Swanton Fire Department, Amcare Ambulance Service and TDI Towing.

Troopers came upon a Toyota Tundra bearing a VT registration on its side, in the middle of Long Hill Rd. As Troopers spoke with the operator, identified as Yattaw, indicators of impairment were detected. Yattaw was transported to the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital prior to being transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for further care. This crash remains under investigation at this time. Alcohol impairment is believed to be a factor of the crash. SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On November 29th, 2025, at approximately 1758 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – St. Albans Barracks were dispatched to the report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and Browns River Road in the Town of Fairfax. Troopers responded to the scene and located a 2021 Kia Forte that had sustained damage to its driver’s side and a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado that had sustained damage to its front-end.

 

Preliminary investigation established that the operator of the 2021 Kia Forte was Crystal Cole (28) of St. Albans, VT, and the operator of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado was Jamie Salg (41) of Fairfax, VT. Both operators were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and Cole was transported to Northwest Medical Center by Fairfax Rescue for suspected minor injuries.

 

The Vermont State Police was assisted at the scene of the crash by Notch Towing, Fairfax Rescue and Fairfax Fire Department.

On November 29, 2025, at approximately 1446 hours, Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks assisted Wardens from the VT Department of Fish and Wildlife and Essex County Sheriff's Office with a search warrant on Baptist Hill Rd in Lunenburg. During the course of the investigation, Tina Paquin (37) was identified and found to have two extraditable warrants from the State of New Hampshire. The warrants were a result of two failures to appear for court dates in New Hampshire reference possession of fentanyl charges.

 

Paquin was transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing. The Honorable Judge Heather Gray was contacted and ordered Paquin be held on $10,000 bail. Paquin was transported to and lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On November 29, 2025, the Vermont State Police was notified of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Town of Pownal. Troopers arrived on scene and immediately began an investigation. It was discovered that Alyssa M. Hickey (23) caused immediate bodily injury to multiple family and household members. Hickey was subsequently arrested and issued a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court - Bennington Criminal Division on December 1st, 2025, at 1230 hours. Hickey was then released on court ordered conditions of release.

On 11/3/25 at approximately 1556 hours, Troopers responded to a report of retail theft at the Dollar General in the Town of Ferrisburgh. Investigation revealed Patrick Cota (32) of Bristol, VT, stole approximately $30 worth of merchandise. On 11/28/25, Cota was issued a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.
