The operator was identified as Lafond. Investigation revealed that Lafond had operated under the influence. Lafond was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks for processing. Lafond was later released on a citation to appear.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 06/28/25 at approximately 0125 hours Troopers from the Vermont State Police responded to the area of Chamberlain Bridge Rd in the town of Lyndon for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival to the area Troopers located a vehicle parked at the stop sign with the operator asleep inside the vehicle. The operator was identified as Drown. Investigation revealed that Drown had operated under the influence. Drown was taken into custody and transported the Vermont State Police Barracks for processing. Drown was later released on a citation to appear.

On July 1st, 2025, at approximately 1519 hours, the Vermont State Police were notified of a family disturbance in the Town of Halifax, Windham County, VT. Through investigation, it was determined that Kevin Harris (60) of Halifax, had caused pain and/or bodily injury to a family or household member. Harris was taken into custody and transported to the Wilmington Police Department for processing. Harris was later released and issued Court-ordered conditions of release and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on July 2nd, 2025, at 1230 hours to answer to the above charge.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 6/30/25 at approximately 0849 hours, Trooper's from the Royalton Barracks were advised of two stolen Louis Vuitton bags from Bartner's residence in Hartland that were found by a third party at a residence in Hartland. The bags were returned to the owner by the third party.
Through investigation it was determined by Troopers that Ashline was in possession of the bags at one point. Ashline was cited and released on scene to appear in Windsor County Court in the town of Woodstock to answer to the above charge.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  Staff at the Northeast Correctional Complex reported to the Vermont State Police an assault that took place at the facility on 5/30/2025 during the intake process.  Over the course of the investigation, Vermont State Police developed probable cause to charge Faith Ladue (21) of Morristown, after she assaulted two correctional officers and attempted to assault a third.  Ladue was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Criminal Court at a later date.

On the above date and time, the Vermont State Police was dispatched to a report of single vehicle crash at the intersection of Gendron Road and Cross Road in the Town of Jay, VT. The operator, later identified as Amber Brooks, age 54 of Jay, VT, had fled the scene without reporting the crash. Brooks vehicle was found off the side of the road, after having struck and damaged the Gendron Road sign and stop sign.

 

Responding Troopers located Brooks and detected indicators of impairment. Brooks was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. Brooks was transported to the Derby barracks for processing and was cited to appear in Orleans Superior Court on 7/1/2025 at 12:30PM to answer to charges of DUI #3 and leaving the scene of an accident.

Ashley was also found to be in possession of prescription medication that belonged to another person. At the conclusion of processing, she was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court - Criminal Division on 07/01/25 at 1230hrs to answer to a disorderly conduct charge and a citation to appear in Windsor County Superior Court - Criminal Division on 09/02/25 at 0830hrs to answer to the possession charge.
