Barber was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in St. Johnsbury. Barber was released on a citation.

Troopers arrived on scene and spoke with Montbleau 68 of Irasaburg, VT and Blessed, 69 of Irasburg, VT about the incident.  Further investigation revealed Blessed and Montbleau both engaged in a physical dispute. Troopers determined Blessed was the aggressor in the physical altercation and was cited to appear in Orleans Superior Court for the above charge.

Jacques was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center where he was issued a criminal citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court on 07/30/25 at 0830hrs to answer to the charge of DUI.

SUMMARY:

On 5/31/25 at approximately 0836 hours, Troopers responded to a 911 call about a male driving a gas-powered John Deere riding lawn mower on Roger’s Road and Route 66 in the town of Randolph.  Upon arrival, the operator, Jonathan M. Aiudi (58) was operating the lawn mower on Route 66.  Aiudi displayed signs of alcohol impairment and was put through Field Sobriety Exercises.  During the arrest of Aiudi, Aiudi resisted arrest, and a Use of Force occurred.  Aiudi was placed into handcuffs after the UOF and was treated by White River Valley Ambulance for a small laceration on his face.

At the conclusion of processing, Aiudi was released and given a Criminal Citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court, Criminal Division, at a later date.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On the attached date and time, Vermont State Police responded to a single vehicle roll over crash on I 91 N near mile marker 114 in the town of Ryegate. Investigation into the crash revealed Thomas Seppala (46) was traveling north and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle veered off the interstate into the median where it rolled several times and Seppala was ejected. Seppala was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Vermont State Police were assisted by the Ryegate Fire Department and Wards Wrecker Service.

On 5/31/25 at approximately 0454 hours, Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Hollow Road near the intersection of Weisenbach Road in the Town of Monkton. Investigation revealed V#1 was traveling east on a curve when it left the eastbound lane and struck a tree. The operator was identified as John Mcevilla (28) of Greenfield, MA.

 

While speaking with Mcevilla, Troopers detected indicators of impairment. Mcevilla was screened, placed under arrest and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing. At the conclusion of processing, Mcevilla was released to a sober adult with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 05/30/25 at approximately 2200 hours Troopers from the Vermont State Police were dispatched to a single vehicle crash with entrapment located in Lunenburg, VT. Upon arrival Trooper found a 16-year-old juvenile trapped under a vehicle while numerous bystanders, EMS, and fire personnel worked to free the Juvenile. The juvenile was evacuated and subsequently flown to UVMMC with suspected serious injuries. Preliminary investigation determined that Vehicle #1 stopped in the roadway, Juvenile #1 exited the vehicle, and then Vehicle #1 then backed up, unintentionally striking Juvenile #1, trapping him under the vehicle.  This crash remains under investigation. The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by Lunenburg FD and Lancaster EMS.

The investigation determined that Edward Quintin (33), had caused serious bodily injury to a family member in the presence of a child. Further investigation revealed that Quintin had previously been convicted of Aggravated Domestic Assault on prior occasions. Quintin was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing. He was subsequently lodged due to violations of Probation and Parole conditions. Quintin has been cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Orange County Criminal Division on June 2, 2025, at 12:30 PM.

For the week of Wednesday, May 21, 2025 through Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the troopers of B Troop cited the following individuals on suspicion of driving with a criminally suspended license:

 

Lawrence Irish, Jr, 52, of Randolph, was stopped on May 21, 2025, at 9:41 PM, by Trooper Daniel Arrato on VT Route 12 near Windover Road in Randolph. Irish was issued a citation to appear at the Superior Court of Orange County on July 2, 2025.

 

Steven Knowles, 60, of Barnard VT was stopped on May 23, 2025, at 10:40 AM on VT Rt 107 in Royalton by Trooper Jacob Clark. He was cited to appear at the Superior Court of Windsor County on June 17, 2025. 

 

Sarah Meier, 56, of Essex Junction, VT was stopped by Trooper Andrew Kelly-Jacobs on Interstate 91 South at mile marker 27 in Westminster on May 23, 2025, at 7:35 PM. She is cited to appear at the Superior Court of Windham County on June 17, 2025.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 5/30/2025, at approximately 1213 hours, The Vermont State Police was notified of a missing female on Austin Road in the town of West Fairlee, VT. Investigation revealed that Elyssa Riso (25) left her residence between 5/29/2025 at 2200 hours and 5/30/2025 at 0930 hours. The incident does not appear suspicious, though there are concerns for Riso's welfare as she is a vulnerable adult. A recent photo of Riso is attached. Riso is approximately 5' tall and 145 pounds with brown hair and eyes. A clothing description is currently unavailable.
