SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On August 6th, 2026,
Detectives from the Vermont State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigations
were notified of a reported sexual assault. After further investigation,
probable cause was developed to charge John K. Richardson, age 41, of Rupert,
VT, with sexual assault and domestic assault. John was taken into custody
on October 9th, 2026, and transported to the VSP - Shaftsbury Barracks for
processing. The Honorable Judge Barra imposed conditions of release upon
John and ordered him to be held without bail. John was transported and
lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility in Rutland, VT.
