SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On the above date and time, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – St. Johnsbury Barracks received reports of a vehicle traveling eastbound on US-2 in Danville, failing to maintain its lane of travel, fluctuating speeds, and operating erratically. Troopers responded to the area and intercepted the suspect vehicle traveling south on I-91, between Exit 20 and 19. Troopers initiated a traffic stop shortly after on I-91 South, Exit 19, making contact with the operator, Mafumba Seni (43) of Lewiston, Maine.

 

During the encounter with Seni, Troopers observed several signs of impairment. Troopers conducted standard field sobriety tests and advanced roadside impaired driving enforcement, resulting in Seni exhibiting additional indicators of impairment. Seni was subsequently taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and Negligent Operation. He was transported to the Vermont State Police – St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing, before being cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on December 9, 2024, at 1230 hours. Seni was later transferred to and held at Northeast Correctional Complex on $200.00 bail.
