SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: At the above date and time, Troopers
responded to a report of a domestic incident on Old Military Rd in Pownal, VT.
Through investigation, it was determined that Lucas A. Avis (44) of Pownal, VT,
had committed unlawful trespassing, domestic assault, criminal threatening, and
unlawful mischief. Avis was arrested and transported to the Vermont State
Police Shaftsbury Barracks for processing. He was issued conditions and
transported to the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility. He was ordered
to appear in Vermont Superior Court - Bennington Criminal Division on October
30, 2026, at 1230 hours.
