SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On the above date and time, Vermont State Police were conducting routine patrols on the public highway known as Interstate 91 in Sheffield, VT. Troopers observed a vehicle commit a motor vehicle violation and initiated a traffic stop. Troopers identified the operator as 71-year-old Amanda Takemoto. Subsequent investigation revealed that Takemoto was operating a motor vehicle while impaired. Takemoto was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing. Takemoto was released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court- Caledonia Criminal division on 10/26/2026 at 0830 hours to answer to the above charge.
