SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On the above date and time, Troopers from the Berlin Barracks conducted a traffic stop for a minor motor vehicle violation on Vermont Route 302 in the Town of Berlin. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Corey Couture (44) of Barre City, VT. Investigation revealed that Couture had two active in-state warrants for his arrest. Further investigation indicated Couture was in violation of his conditions of release by operating a motor vehicle. Couture was placed under arrest and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing. He was issued a citation to appear before the Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on November 5, 2026, at 1230 hours for violating his conditions of release. Couture was subsequently lodged at the Northeastern Correctional Complex on $5,000 and $200 bail for his two warrants.
