B Troop / DLS Criminal Incidents

NEWS RELEASE – DLS INCIDENTS 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

For the week of Wednesday, March 25, 2026, through Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the troopers of B Troop cited the following individuals on suspicion of driving with a criminally suspended license: 

Jacob Young, 24, of Pittsford, VT was stopped by Trooper Hayley Mears on Business Route 4 at West Proctor Road in Rutland Town on March 30, 2026, at 10:03 AM. He is cited to appear at the Superior Court of Rutland County on May 18, 2026.

Joel Beckley, 47, of Danby, VT was stopped on March 31, 2026, at 2:23 PM on Middle Road by the Clarendon Town Office by Trooper Sean Mulderry. He is cited to appear at the Superior Court of Rutland County on April 27, 2026.

Ross Brooker, 61, of Shelburne, VT was stopped on US Route 7 and VT Route 17 in New Haven by Trooper Taylor Demick on March 31, 2026, at 3:13 PM. He is cited to appear at the Superior Court of Addison County on May 18, 2026.

B Troop consists of the Vermont State Police barracks in New Haven, Royalton, Rutland, Shaftsbury, and Westminster.
