VIOLATION: Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Assault on a Protected Professional

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Burlington, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On June 21, 2022 at approximately 1910 hours, Troopers from the Williston Barracks responded to a report of a male standing on the Winooski River Bridge on the northbound side of I-89 in the City of Winooski. Upon arriving on scene, Troopers located Christopher Bousquet (54) of Burlington, VT standing on the bridge in the breakdown lane.

Immediately upon making contact with Bousquet, he attempted to flee from Troopers by walking down the interstate. Troopers attempted to take Bousquet into custody, at which point he began to resist by shoving Troopers. After a brief altercation and use of a TASER. Bousquet was taken into custody without injury.

Bousquet was transported to the Williston Barracks for processing and later released on citation to appear at the Chittenden Country Superior Court-Criminal Division on September 13, 2022 at 0830 hours to answer to the charges listed above.

The Vermont State Police was assisted in this incident by the Winooski Police Department, Colchester Police Department, and Williston Fire Department.
