INCIDENT LOCATION: Scotch Hollow Rd, Newbury

VIOLATION: DUI

 

ACCUSED: Dakotah Welch                                         

AGE: 28

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Newbury, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On May 13, 2020 at approximately 2002 hours, Troopers from the St. Johnsbury

Barracks responded to a single vehicle rollover in the area of Scotch Hollow Rd

in Newbury. Upon arrival, Troopers discovered the vehicle unoccupied and lying

on its' side in a small embankment. Troopers searched the area and located the

operator, Dakotah Welch (28), who was uninjured.

 

Troopers observed indicators of impairment and asked Welch to undergo

Standardized Filed Sobriety Tests. At the conclusion of the tests, Welch was

taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Welch was transported to the Bradford

Outpost for processing, and at the conclusion was released to a sober adult.
