SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On May 20, 2020, at approximately 1237 hours, Troopers at the Vermont State Police – Shaftsbury Barracks responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of VT RT 9 and VT RT 8, in the Town of Searsburg, Vermont.  Initial investigation revealed that OP#1 (Croteau) was traveling west on VT RT 9, when he attempted to turn left onto VT RT 8 and turned improperly. VH#2 collided with the passenger side of VH#1, causing VH#2 to travel off the roadway and into several immature trees.

There were no injuries as a result of the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to damage by Fuller’s Towing and Walt’s Towing. The Vermont State Police were assisted by the Wilmington Fire Department and the Deerfield Rescue Squad.
