SUMMARY OF CRASH: On March 26, 2020 at approximately 1906 hours, Vermont State Police responded to a single vehicle collision, located at mile marker 64 south bound on Interstate 89 in the Town of Waterbury Vermont.  Upon arrival at the scene, State Police observed a 2015 Nissan Frontier up against the guardrails on the shoulder of the left lane lane.  State Police were not able to make contact with the operator of the truck until April 1, 2020.  State Police identified the operator of the truck as Michael Murphy (41) of Barre Vermont.  Murphy was subsequently issued a citation to appear in Washington County District Court on June 25, 2020 at 0830 hours to answer the charge of leaving the scene of an accident as he caused damage at the scene of the collision.  Murphy was also issued traffic tickets for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license along with operating a motor vehicle without liability insurance.
