SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On April 5th 2020 at 0044 hours, VSP Shaftsbury Troopers were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle rollover crash on Lake Paran Road in Shaftsbury. Troopers arrived to find a 2019 Jeep Wrangler overturned in the roadway with severe damage. Investigation revealed that vehicle #1 was operated above the posted speed limit on Paran Road and failed to negotiate a curve, striking a fence before overturning. Troopers contacted the operator, Redden, who exhibited indicators of impaired operation. Troopers administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests to Redden, which he refused to participate in partway through. Redden was placed under arrest for Suspicion of DUI and was transported to the Shaftsbury State Police barracks for processing. Redden was fingerprinted and photographed before being released on a citation to appear before the Bennington County Superior Court- Criminal Division on April 20th 2020 at 0815 hours, to answer to the charge of DUI #1.
