SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

The Hartford Police Department, Chester Police Department and the Vermont State Police are engaged in a joint investigation into the whereabouts of 39-year-old missing person, Joshua Webster.

Webster was reported missing to the Hartford Police Department on March 19, 2020, by a family member. Investigative efforts by HPD have indicated that Webster was last seen in the early morning hours of March 7, 2020, leaving a residence on Regina Lane in the town of Chester, on foot.

On March 31, 2020, the Hartford Police Department requested assistance from the Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team to help search a residence on the Quechee West Hartford Road in Hartford that is owned by Joshua Webster. On April 1, 2020, the Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team assisted Hartford Police Department with the search of that residence in Hartford.   

 

Police are investigating all potential explanations for Webster’s disappearance.  Anyone with any information regarding Webster and this investigation is asked to contact any of the investigative agencies (VSP, 802-234-9933; HPD, 802-295-9425; or CPD, 802-875-2035) or to submit a tip anonymously by texting keyword VTIPS to 274637 (CRIMES).
