INCIDENT LOCATION: Interstate 89N, mile marker 68, Bolton & Williston Road, Williston.

VIOLATION:

 

               1. Driving with a Suspended License

               2. Violation of Conditions of Release (Two Counts)

               3. Gross Negligent Operation

               4. Attempt to Elude

               5. Aggravated Assault

               6. Reckless Endangerment

               7. Duty to Stop

               8. Resisting Arrest

 

ACCUSED: Alexander Seagroves                                            

AGE: 26

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Essex, Vermont

 

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 3/23/2020 at approximately 0037 hours, the Vermont State Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop for a vehicle traveling at 125 mph in a 65-mph zone on Interstate 89. With assistance from Williston PD, the vehicle was located in a driveway on Williston Road by North Williston Road. In an attempt to flee, the vehicle collided with a State Police cruiser, causing minor damage. The operator was identified as Alexander Seagroves (26) of Essex. Law Enforcement was able to get Seagroves into custody with no injuries resulting. He was later released into the custody of the University of Vermont Emergency Department with a citation to appear before Chittenden Criminal Court on the above offenses.
