ACCUSED: Dwayne Calloway

AGE: 55

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Newport, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

              On 03/28/2020 at approximately 2304 hours, troopers with the Vermont State Police observed a vehicle pull into the parking lot of a business on US RT 5, Derby. The operator exited the vehicle and was recognized to be Dwayne Calloway, whose driver’s license was known to Troopers to be criminally suspended. Investigation confirmed Calloway’s drivers license was criminally suspended. While speaking with Calloway, indicators of impairment were detected. During the investigation, it was discovered Calloway was in violation of his conditions of release, specifically his curfew and order not to leave his residence with alcohol in his system. Upon completion of the investigation, Calloway was placed under arrest and transported to the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks for processing.
