INCIDENT LOCATION: Peaks Pine Terrace Pownal, Vermont

VIOLATION: Second Degree Unlawful Restraint, Resisting Arrest

 

ACCUSED: Scott J. Agresta                                               

AGE: 57

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Pownal, Vermont

 

VICTIM: Juvenile

AGE: 16

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bennington, Vermont

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On the above date and time, Vermont State Police were dispatched to a citizen assist complaint at a residence on Peaks Pine Terrace in the Town of Pownal. Once on scene, Troopers learned a juvenile was inside the residence and male party identified as Scott Agresta was refusing to allow the juvenile family member to leave.

 

State Police were able to make entry into the home and allow the juvenile to exit the residence. Troopers then attempted to arrest Agresta at which time a brief struggle ensued before Agresta was successfully taken into custody.

 

Agresta was transported to the Shaftsbury State Police Barracks where he was processed and later remanded to the Marble Valley Correctional Facility for lack of $5000 bail.
