SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On February 15, 2020, at approximately 0744 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks were notified of a two-vehicle crash on US Route 4, near Pico Mountain Ski Resort, in the Town of Killington, Vermont.

Through investigation it was determined that Operator #1 (Patch) was operating vehicle #1, traveling east on US Route 4. Operator #2 (Arnold) was operating vehicle #2, traveling east on US Route 4. Vehicle #1 rear-ended vehicle #2 in the right lane of travel. Vehicle #1 sustained significant damage and Operator #2 (Arnold) was transported by Regional Ambulance Service. Limited visibility of the road caused by the sun is a contributing circumstance of the crash.

The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by Killington First Response, Killington Fire Department, and Regional Ambulance Service. Vehicle #1 was towed by Hop-To-It Towing.
