VIOLATION:

              1. DUI #3 Refusal (felony)

              2. Criminal DLS- No Ignition Interlock (misdemeanor)

 

ACCUSED: Ya Sin                                               

AGE: 30

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Burlington, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: During the early morning hours of January 27th, 2020 Troopers with VSP Williston patrolled the Winooski River Bridge Safety Corridor of I-89.

 

At approximately 0058 hours, a Trooper conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Mile Marker 90 Northbound subsequent to multiple moving violations. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Ya Sin (age 30) of Burlington, VT.

 

Investigation determined that Sin had been operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. It was also found that he was operating the motor vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device, as he was required to. Sin was arrested without incident and transported to the Williston State Police Barracks for processing.

 

At the conclusion of processing Sin was released into the custody of Act One for detox. He was issued a citation to appear before Chittenden County Superior Court on February 13th, 2020 at 0830 hours to answer to the aforementioned charges.
