SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On December 25, 2019 at approximately 5:19 PM, the Vermont State Police received a call reporting a male unlawfully taking copper piping at an address on Oakwood Cemetery Road in Townshend (Windham County). The caller advised this has happened several times before, so he had put up cameras on the property. He advised the male subject is a former employee.

Troopers arrived on scene and located James S. Riccard, 58, who admitted to stealing copper at this address on several occasions. 

Riccard was issued a criminal citation in-hand to appear in Windham Superior Court - Criminal Division on January 28, 2019 at 8:00 AM to answer to the charge of Petit Larceny.
