SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 12/27/2019, at approximately 1715 hours, Vermont State Troopers were

dispatched to a reported single vehicle roll over down an embankment into the

Passumpsic River on VT Route 122 near Peak Road in the town of Wheelock. Upon

arrival, it was found that Vehicle 1 was traveling South on VT 122 when it

failed to negotiate a curve and went down an embankment into the river where it

rolled over. While speaking with the Operator (Brown) Troopers detected several

indicators of impairment. Subsequent investigation revealed Brown was operating

the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody and

transported to VSP - St. Johnsbury for processing. He was later transported to

NERCF for Detox. Troopers were assisted on scene by Wheelock Fire and Lyndon

Rescue. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to damage. Brown is set to

appear in Caledonia Criminal Court on 01/13/2020 at 0830 hours to answer to the

charge of DUI.
