SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On December 28, 2019, at approximately 1432 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks were notified of a two-vehicle crash with injury on East Mountain Road, near the Killington Grand, in the Town of Killington, Vermont.

Through investigation it was determined Operator #1 (Cummings) was operating vehicle #1, traveling east on East Mountain Road intending to turn left into a parking lot. Operator #2 (Bovaconti) was operating vehicle #2, traveling west on East Mountain Road. Operator #1 (Cummings) turned left, crossing into the oncoming lane of travel, when Operator #2 (Bovaconti) had the right of way. As a result, vehicle #1 struck vehicle #2 causing significant damage to both vehicles.

Operator #1 (Cummings) was issued Vermont Civil Violation Complaint (VCVC) 6024715 for a violation of Title 23 VSA 1047(a): Vehicle turning left which carries a waiver amount of $220.00 and 2 points.

The Vermont State Police were assisted by Killington Rescue and Killington Fire Department. Both vehicles were removed by Killington Auto.
