SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: 

On 12/29/19, at approximately 0136 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks, conducted a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, in Fair Haven, for an observed motor vehicle violation. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Chris R. Stannard, of Fair Haven, Vermont. During the stop Stannard displayed several indicators of impairment. Stannard was ultimately taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Castleton Police Department for processing. After processing, Stannard was issued a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division and released to a sober party.
