SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On November 12, 2019 at approximately 1546 hours, members of the Vermont State Police were notified of a single vehicle crash into a telephone pole on Kellogg Rd in the town of Swanton. Initial reports suggested the possibility of an impaired driver. Members of the Swanton Fire department, Missisquoi Valley Rescue, and Green mountain Power along with the Vermont State Police responded to the crash. The initial investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle, Kevin Raymond (56) had gone off the road, and his vehicle impacted a telephone pole. Injuries from the crash included a lacerated lip. Raymond was then transported to the Northwest Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. During the course of the investigation, the initial reports of impairment were substantiated, and Raymond was subsequently place under arrest for DUI. He was served a citation to appear in Franklin County Court on 12/16/2019 to answer to the charge of DUI. Raymond was then released to the care of an adult family member.
