Berlin Barracks / Saturation Patrol

SATURATION PATROL

 

On Thursday December 19th, 2024 between the hours of 2300 and 0030, Troopers from the Berlin State Police Barracks conducted a saturation patrol on Main St in Waterbury Village as well as the greater Barre City area of Washington County. The purpose of the patrol was to detect and identify aggressive drivers, impaired drivers, enforce motor vehicle laws and promote safe driving.

 

Details:

•            Troopers involved: 3

•            Number of traffic stops: 10

•            Number of traffic tickets issued: 3

•            Number of written warnings issued: 12

 

Highlights:

-one operator was arrested for driving with a criminally suspended license

-one operator was issued a ticket for possessing an open container of alcohol in the vehicle

-two operators were ticketed for driving without a license

 

The Vermont State Police would like to remind all motorists to drive responsibility, utilize a sober driver, leave a safe distance between vehicles, plan ahead, put their phones down and keep their heads up while driving.
