              2. Impeding (felony)

              3. Violation of Conditions of Release (two counts)

ACCUSED: Ashley Larrow

AGE: 28

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Essex, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On November 7th, 2019 at approximately 0058 hours Troopers with VSP Williston and VSP St. Albans responded to the Chimney Corners Maplefields in Colchester to assist officers from Colchester PD who were attempting to locate a male that had fled from them on foot from the gas station parking lot.

Responding Troopers assisted in the efforts to locate the male. As part of the investigation, Troopers spoke with the female driver of the vehicle from which the male had fled. The female driver was identified as Ashley Larrow (age 28) of Essex, VT.

Larrow initially refused to tell Troopers who the male was. She then provided a name for the male that was found to be false. The joint effort between the officers with Colchester PD who had seen the male flee and Troopers on scene that were familiar with Larrow conclusively identified the male that had fled as Scott Bennett (age 34) of South Burlington, VT. Bennett currently has three active warrants for his arrest for a variety of charges.

Further investigation revealed that Larrow was aware that Bennett had warrants and was attempting to deflect the investigation away from Bennett so that he could escape arrest. It was also learned that Larrow was violating conditions of release from a recent arrest by consuming illicit drugs.

Larrow was arrested without incident and transported to the Williston State Police Barracks for processing. At the conclusion of processing she was released with a citation to appear before Chittenden County Superior Court on December 19th, 2019 at 0830 to answer to the aforementioned charges.

Bennett was not located during this incident. He has ties to Fairfax, Burlington, South Burlington, and Essex and still has three active warrants for his arrest. Anyone that may have information about Bennett's whereabouts are encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks at 802-878-7111. Information can be provided anonymously.

This investigation is ongoing. Additional charges are pending.
